Jess got up feeling very uncomfortable thanks to her pregnancy. Sorry Jess. I didn't knew what to do with her, so I decided to watch her whims. Apparently we're going to practice writing. Jess now only has to write 5 good books to move on to the third milestone. Let's get started with book 1! (this is going to take a loooooong time...) While Jess is enjoying her free time on the computer, Kai is cleaning the house. Good job, Kai! Oh, I actually have a surprise for you. Kai: "For me?" Yeah! You'll need to go upstairs for it. Kai: "The surprise is... More cleaning?" No, that's not it. You just need to clean this so I can place the actual surprise. I can't get rid of it myself. Sorry. Kai: "I need to go to work soon..." You're not working from home today? Kai: "No. Jess wanted to do a toddler date today, right? So that's why I'm just going to work today." Oh yeah, toddler date. I already forgot... Thanks for the reminder! Kai: "I'm done cleaning. What now?" Can you turn around while I place it? Kai: "Sure" And don't peek! Okay, you ready??? Kai: "Always." Okay. Turn around! Kai turns around and is now facing a Robotics Workstation. Kai: "Whoa... That's really for me?" Yes! All for you! You're an engineer after all so you'll probably need it. Right? Kai: "This will make home working so much easier... Thanks so much!" Kai's phone started beeping. Kai: "Oh, my boss is calling. I need to go!" Aaaaand, he's gone. At least he loves his new gift! That's all I wanted to hear. Kai reminded me about the toddler play date I wanted to try out. How nice of him! Before we push this button, Jess has to visit Kerry and Mack and befriend them, or else this thing won't work. Let's just pretend that we're picking them up for the toddler play date. Jess: "You ready to play with Christopher and Robin?" Kerry: "Yes!!" Jess: "Hi Mack!" Mack: "Hi aunt Jess!!" And now, the actual play date. Jess wasn't alone. Abigail decided to join her for the day. Jess: "Hey! I don't think we properly met already, did we?" Abigail: "No, we didn't. So you're the sister who's married and pregnant with a ghost. You look surprisingly normal for a weirdo." Jess: "Wait, what?" Abigail: "Don't you know? You are called 'the Weirdo' in SimCity. You're a single mother with 2 kids and now you're even pregnant by an 'experiment'." Jess: "But I have a husband?" Abigail: "Yeah, but other people can't see him. Only Ridleys can." Jess: "...Oh yeah. I forgot about that." Abigail: "You've been through a lot already, isn't it?" Jess: "Yeah... And now I'm also the weirdo of town... But I guess that's fine." Abigail: "It is?." Jess: "Yeah. People don't want to be near weirdo's and I'm a loner, so I guess this works?" Abigail: "Hehe, whatever you say, girl. Anyways. You're always welcome at our place when you feel the need, okay? So, where are our kids? Ah, there. It was nice talking to you, Jess." Jess: "Yeah, it was. Thanks!" Jess went to sit on a bench and watched her toddlers while thinking about her conversation with Abigail. Jess: "So, I'm a weirdo who talks to herself and a single mother with an 'experiment baby' in her belly. Hehe." At least we know better, right? The playdate got silver! Once back in Brindleton Bay, the weather was... Awful. Kai: "Hey, you're back early. I thought you would be gone for much longer. How was it? Did the toddlers have fun?" Jess: "Yes! I also had a nice talk with Abigail. She's nice. She also told me something funny. Apparently I'm the weirdo of the town!" Jess started laughing so hard that Kai gave her a confused face back. Kai: "Why you laughing with that?" Jess: "It's funny!" Kai: "... You think so?" Jess: "Yeah! People leave me alone because they think I'm weird! I couldn't have it any better!" Kai: "Oh yeah... You're a loner... I guess this does work out for you then... Hahahaha!" And then they both laughed. Some time later Jess returned to her schoolwork and Kai went downstairs to feed the toddlers. Kai: "I thought she would be mad after finding out people call her a weirdo... But this? This actually makes me very happy." I can see that. You're glowing the brightest green I've ever seen. Kai: "Hehe. Are you done eating, Christopher?" Christopher: "Almost!" Kai: "Good, because it's almost bed time. Do you want to put the plate in the kitchen all by yourself?" Christopher: "Yes!" And in the kitchen, he ran into a crying Robin. Ohhh, somebody is tired. Time to sleep! Goodnight!
